MEETINGS
We meet once a week on Wednesday evening for club activities. All meetings are open to both members and visitors. If you wish to visit please just turn up at one of the following day/times (no need to ask first). See the 'find us' page for maps.
Wednesdays - 19:00-21:00 (7pm - 9pm) General club nights with a variety of activities. Please see the programme for details of what's on.
Mondays (Occasionally - see Programme) - 18:30-20:30 (6.30pm - 8.30pm) Practical lighting evening using our extensive lighting system. We offer full assistance to help you use the lights. All you need is a camera with a hot-shoe flash mount.
We actively encourage new members to join us, including younger members. Although several of our current members are experienced photographers, the majority are at the beginner to intermediate level, We welcome photographers of all abilities, from absolute beginner to experienced. We have a strong emphasis on learning and improving photography skills. We have a strong leaning towards Fun and we do not compete between each other. We currently have about 25 active members.
Due to some generous financial sponsorship, for which we are very grateful, we are able to provide extremely high quality facilities for our club members.
We meet in the Princess Gwenllian Centre, Kidwelly, where we have the use of a modern, purpose-built function room, which also serves as our studio.
We have a full set of Elinchrom (one of the best lighting systems in the world) studio lights and accessories. Our modern comfortable room is equipped with a digital over-head projector and wall screen for displaying digital images.
